1. Bristol Film Festival
Bristol Film Festival showcases all of the best films of past and present. As a Valentine’s day treat, why don’t you take a loved one to the Vintage Screening of Notting Hill in Avery’s Wine Merchants? 2. Bristol Light Festival
Brand new for 2020! Bristol Light Festival will be bringing you a sparkling selection of artwork from internationally acclaimed artists, creating a trail of light through the city centre. 3. Lyra Festival
Back again for only its second year, Lyra is Bristol’s Poetry Festival! After the success of last year, the festival will be returning to the city for more poetry readings, screenings and slams! Full details of this year’s event are yet to be released, but take a peek at the incredible line up from last year to see what’s in store.
4. British Dal Festival
A firm favourite, British Dal Festival is returning to Bristol in late March. Sharing delicious recipes, mouth-watering photos and bringing communities and cultures together, the festival prioritises local cookery and flavour. Take part in the famous Dal trail or come to the Night Market (the Dal Edition!) to really make the most of all of the incredible varieties of dal. 5. Bristol International Jazz and Blues Festival
Calling all music fans… our very own huge festival of all things jazz is returning! With venues all over the city, this festival really does take Bristol by storm, with artists and their talent taking centre-stage. With loads of events including late night jam-sessions, a free stage and all the gigs you could ever fit into your schedule, this is definitely one not to be missed!
