The end of summer is nigh but hopefully we'll see some of that lovely September weather coming our way. As always. there are so many things going on in Bristol, so here are a few favourites for the coming month. 

To get you set up for guests who are working remotely, we’ll explain what a laptop-friendly workspace needs, give you ideas for appealing to guests with extra amenities, and share the best ways to promote your space.

1. Foodie Fest 10-12th

Kicking off the month is a firm favourite of ours. Foodies Fest, the UK’s biggest food festival returns to The Downs Bristol. With a summer festival, Scouting for Girls and The Killerz headlining, workshops and of course Top Chefs, this years incredible line-up includes Great British Bake Off 2021 winner Peter Sawkins and Masterchef 2021 winner Tom Rhodes and so many others.

2. Sky Safari Drive-In Night Glow 10-12th

Returning to Longleat estate is the incredible hot air balloon drive-in night glowAt sunset, the estate will come to life full of vibrant colours with a display of hot air balloons. Up to 30 balloons will ignite their burners in a dramatic, musical showcase to enjoy from the comfort of your own car.

3. Sustainable Fashion Week 11-19th

The UK’s first-ever Sustainable Fashion Week(SFW)! Unlike other Fashion Week’s SFW will not be focusing on next season’s trends but curating a week of creative, community-led activities that celebrate and inspires new habits for a more sustainable relationship with fashion.  

4. Iron Island at Brunel's SS Great Britain 23rd Aug-19th Sept

For the first time in fifty years, yes that’s right FIFTY YEARS the sights, sounds and movement of a living sea will surround the ship’s hull. This immersive theatre experience in the Dry Dock where the SS Great Britain lies will project and transport audiences on a journey through underwater worlds.

5. Tequilla Taproom 17-19th

There is just one weekend to get your tequila fix at the World’s first Tequila Taproom in Stokes Croft run by Jose Cuervo. The bright and instagrammable space will occupy customers with table games, masterclasses, top quality DJ’s and of course tequila in every form… Parents, this might just be what you need after a hectic summer holiday. 

6. Great Bristol Run 19th

Bristol’s much-loved running events return to the city’s streets this September. It is the first time the Bristol 10k and Half Marathon will take place on the same day and no doubt the atmosphere, crowd support and music and entertainment zones will be second to none.
